Are you COVID-19 safe?

Absolutely! We limit our facility to 1 person per 37.5sqm at all times, but there are generally less people than that. This means we can easily socially distance with more than 4m between clients and coaches.

We have a low volume of clients, and we know everyone intimately, so we have great control over access.

We also clean all equipment with alcohol before and after every person uses it.

There is ample hand soap, and sanitiser for our clients personal use.

How much does Sydney Strength Training cost?

For as little at $75 per week you can be coached in person; get your own customised program; and visit the gym as often as you like in your own time! We also guarantee you’ll never need to share equipment! Our prices do however vary depending on which combination of training options you choose. The best place to start is to arrange a consultation so that we can find out about your history, goals, and budget, and then craft the most appropriate combination of One-on-One, Group, and Solo Sessions.

I'm an older person - can, and should I, train?

Absolutely! Older people stand to benefit the most from strength training. It is possible to increase muscle mass, and improve function at any age, not to mention it being incredible safe and scaleable.

At Sydney Strength Training we specialise in implementing the Australian Governments guidelines for older people to be strength training 2 or 3 times a week. To find out more about what you should be doing please refer to the government’s guidelines here.

Do I need to be fit/strong/athletic to train at Sydney Strength Training?

Absolutely not! We specialise in introducing people of all ages and abilities to strength training, for the purpose of improving their health and living standard. We have clients as young as 11, and as mature as 82 years old!

I am struggling with some injuries/health issues, will I still be able to participate in the Sydney Strength Training Program?

At Sydney Strength Training we believe that no matter how severe your condition there is always some way of making an improvement. We work closely with specialist healthcare providers to make sure that the programs we prescribe are suitable for your specific condition. We have extensive experience with: sarcopenia, osteoporosis, chronic pain, heart and vascular disease, incontinence, parkinson’s disease, arthritis, and joint replacements, for example.

Is there parking available?

We are very fortunate to have ample parking right outside the gym!

Is there a minimum commitment?

One-on-One Coaching is paid monthly in advance with no minimum commitment, meaning you can cancel at any time. There is a minimum 3 month commitment with Group Coaching. You are also welcome to change your membership option month-to-month. For instance you might start with One-on-One Coaching and move to Group Coaching as you become more experienced.

Where is Sydney Strength Training?

The Sydney Strength Training Training Centre is located in Annandale in the Inner West of Sydney.

When can I train?

We collaborate with our members to schedule flexible training times each week. One-on-One and Group Coaching sessions run for 60 minutes and are available at various times during the following opening hours:

  • Monday to Friday 5:30am to 7:30pm;
  • Saturday 6:30am to 10:30am; and
  • Sunday 8am to 10:30am

I want to start training but am a bit nervous and self-conscious, how private is Sydney Strength Training?

At Sydney Strength Training we have a large studio space with ample equipment that is spaciously arranged so that you never need to share equipment, or be too close to another member. Our programs are designed and implemented so that regardless of your level of skill or self-consciousness we guarantee you will feel safe, secure, comfortable and welcome.
